Clean Way can help you meet your legal responsibility Health and Safety is a key responsibility of any employer and the provision of an adequate risk assessment is vital when assessing PPE requirements. In 1992 PPE regulations (EN340) were introduced for Work Clothing to ensure adequate protection in all working environments.
Health and Safety legislation for High Visibility clothing was introduced in 1995 within the European Norm (EN471).
Employers therefore became responsible for its provision (after risk assessment) and its maintenance. The employer is liable for all PPE garments and if they fail to meet the standards, severe penalties could be imposed.
